Hi. This is my first post and I want to tell I support you for this project.
So ... I made some images for my creatures but I'm not sure about his design. He looks too evil compared to Bamboon or Rockitten. Anyway I give you the images and you can judge.

I am by no means a spriting expert, but I think you're right in that it doesn't quite fit the same style as the current monster designs, but it's a decent start. If you haven't already, take a look at this spriting tutorial that has some really good tips on making Pokemon-like sprites: http://the-godlings-rapture.deviantart. … -280927794
Thanks for the tutorial. I made another sprite. A water one this time. I don't now if it looks good. It's mostly for the colors ... I do not see colors like everyone, so I can't tell if it's bad or not.
I think this sprite is a big improvement over your first one. Stylistically I think it's still not quite there, but I think with some improvements, this can be a really great monster. Try working a bit on the shading and smoothing out some of the sharper parts of the monster. Rawng did a really great job with shading and shape of his monster Fruitera:
I think this is a good example of the art style of monsters Tuxemon is going for.

This would make a really good monster!
I've edited your sprite a bit, set the palette, etc... Here's what I got.
I think a good name would be Bigfin. A younger evolution could then be called Dollfin.
This looks awesome! I really love the original design with these color changes. This would be a perfect water/plant type monster.
I also like the evil-looking monster . Here, I stylized and set the palette for it, too. Of course, feel free to change it!
EDIT: Djinnbo sounds like a good name to me, referencing the mythical djinn and Akira Kurosawa's character Yojimbo.

This is another great rendition of Cavalcadeur's design. We just need the back sprite and menu sprites for these guys and I think these would be great additions. For Djinnbo, what types do you think would fit the monster? It definitely looks like it could be Fire/Ghost. I'm thinking instead of "Ghost", a "Spectre"/"Spectral" type might set the Tuxemon types apart from the usual types.
I agree, "Fire/Spectre" has a really cool feel to it. I'm wary of introducing new types though, because the Wu Xing system is very balanced and seems to have sufficed thus far. ^_^

Here ya go!
Very nice! I just accepted the pull request here: https://github.com/Tuxemon/Tuxemon/pull/19
I also added Cavalcadeur and rsg167 as contributors to the CREDITS: https://github.com/Tuxemon/Tuxemon/blob … CREDITS.md
Great!By the way: I like Djinnbo and the new graphics for Bigfin except maybe the bones on the Djinnbo's front sprite.
So ... I made another try. I don't know his type actually maybe water/light ... Anyway maybe he can be useful.
I have no idea about his possible name. In fact I don't speak english very well so I can't make plays on words ...
It's me again. I made two other essays : Dollfin and a fire turtle.
These sprites show big improvements from your earlier sprites! You should create some back and menu sprites for these guys!
Thanks a lot. I'll try to do so.
Here are they.DollfinMagma Turtle
The Dollfin's back sprite is out of the image to the left. I don't know if it's OK in game so I made another version.
A new one. It's a sort of snake. In the first level he's in his egg but then he comes out.
More good work! I especially like the latest monster design!
Your lines could definitely use some smoothing, especially on the whale, and the shading seems inconsistent between back and front sprites on that egg snake. The designs are good; just needs some refining. I'll see what I can do for it later on.
More resources by me.
I added your latest snake monster in the latest commit of the development branch: https://github.com/Tuxemon/Tuxemon/comm … 943184d527
Right now I called him "Eyenemy" until someone comes up with a better name.
I'll also update any of these sprites should they be changed or improved upon later.

I think this little guy is my favourite of yours so far. How about calling him "Axylightl", since he looks like an axylotl and he has a light on his tail?
Here's a back sprite and menu sprites for the axylightl. Now it looks like this:Yeah, it's kinda rough.

I also worked up quite a few other sprites. Here are some of the best:
Pigabyte: An electric pig!Foofle: A fluffy, mischievous creature!Shammer: A tough cave dog!I have some other experimental ones on my Github fork https://github.com/josepharaoh99/Tuxemon.git and may bring them up later.
