Some Questions
First question: do you want donations and what will you do with them (and would a small amount help)?
Second question: Since the android version is not working (at least for me) how will you handle touch and or mouse i think the game would set itself better apart from pokemon in an emulator if it handled touch and mouse more native, is something like this planned or what would be the best way to contribute to this (i cant really develop like a pro but the basics are there )?

I do have a PayPal account for accepting donations for the Tuxemon project if anyone would like to donate, but regular art and code contributions are most valuable. Any money donated though would go directly towards paying new or existing artists, musicians, or developers to work on the project. This would include things like paying artist commission to work on new tilesets or character sprite sheets, etc.
To be transparent, I plan on making a page on the tuxemon.org website that would show all donations to the project and a description of what that money was spent on in order to help the project.

Yeah, the development branch can break the Android and GCW-Zero builds pretty often. During releases (e.g. version 0.3.0 -> 0.3.1) I make sure it builds on all platforms, but occasionally between releases changes are made that can break it.
You can try installing this version of the Android build if you want to check it out:

There are some known bugs right now such as the starting splash screen crashing the game if you press a button and pressing the d-pad will also press the "A" button.

Right now the Android version has an on-screen controller overlay, similar to what you see in emulators. A more native touch interface isn't planned, but it could be in the future. The Tuxemon Mobile Controller project, which allows you to use your Android phone or tablet as a controller for Tuxemon, does plan on being a full native touch experience. You'll be able to use the mobile controller to move around, interact with menus, etc.
The main problem with integrating touch support in the main Tuxemon game is reconciling the way the user interface is designed for touch vs keyboard/controller interaction. Menu items need to be big and easily "touch-able", but may look over-sized if you're playing on a TV or monitor. It's certainly possible to find the right balance between the two, but it's not an easy task. With that said, you can still take a shot at integrating touch events if you'd like. If anything, we may need to have two separate menu systems depending on which platform you're playing on.

Member · 38 commentsThanks for your answer, that donation page would be awesome (I will donate a small amount right away buy yourself a pizza from it or something like that if you want).
I think i'll start some basic ideas for touch input after my exams and maybe I'll also try some pixel art but I can't promise anything.

I look forward to what you come up with on the touch input front.
Thanks again!

Member · 38 commentsThank you for the awesome project and i think the New system definitly adds more transperancy. You should also consider adding a bank account to donate to (for one to avoid the PayPal fee and also because i heard many Bad news regarding PayPal and opensource projects) but thats not really important!

That's totally fine. Thanks for submitting your current sprites.
There's a lot of artwork that we still need, namely tilesets for different towns and areas, sprite sheets for different NPCs, technique animations, and more monster sprites. If you're interested in doing tilesets, check out the Offical Art Direction Thread for some concept art on the different proposed areas.

And thank you for the support . I'll try and look into other ways to accept donations for Tuxemon. Thanks for the suggestion!
